ERROR CODE: -2, ‘Internal system failure: no more specific information is available.’

  • This message is a general (Generic) system error that occurs when an unexpected error has occurred inside the CUBRID system, or when it is not possible to set a more specific error code for a particular error situation, CUBRID is composed of various internal components and modules, and each component is designed to return a unique error code for a specific failure situation. However, sometimes this error is used when it is difficult to clearly identify a specific error due to exceptional situations or complex internal states, this message may be a sign of a serious internal problem, and the possibility of affecting the stability and consistency of the database is very high.

ERROR CODE: -4, ‘Has been interrupted.’

  • This message is an error indicating that a task being executed by the CUBRID system was interrupted by an external signal or a system event, CUBRID can receive an interrupt signal while performing various tasks (query execution, data loading, backup, recovery, etc.), and in this case it safely interrupts the current task and returns this error.

  • This message is displayed when the CUBRID system tries to create a new volume, but a volume with the same name already exists, it means that creation failed due to a duplicate volume name during volume expansion or new volume creation.

ERROR CODE: -126, ‘Unknown purpose “%1$s” given on line %2$d.’

  • This message is displayed when the CUBRID system parses a database volume-addition configuration file and the ‘volume purpose (PURPOSE)’ value specified on a particular line is invalid or unrecognizable, it mainly occurs when using the –more-volume-file option in the createdb command, and it means that a string that is not allowed was entered into the PURPOSE parameter that specifies the purpose of a volume in the volume expansion configuration file.

  • This message is an error that appears when the CUBRID server encounters an error while receiving data from the client, it occurs due to failures in receiving client data during network communication, protocol mismatch, client response errors, and so on, and occurs when the server did not receive the expected data from the client, or when the received data is not valid.

ERROR CODE: -186, ‘Error receiving data from server.’

  • This message is an error that appears when the CUBRID client encounters an error while receiving data from the server, it occurs due to data receiving failures during network communication, protocol mismatch, server response errors, and so on, and occurs when the client did not receive the expected data from the server, or when the received data is not valid.

  • This message is displayed when the CUBRID client receives data from the server and the expected buffer differs from the buffer actually received, it occurs when there is a problem with buffer management during network communication or when unexpected data is received.

  • This message is displayed when the request ID (service ID) received by the CUBRID server from the client is invalid or an undefined request, it occurs when the server receives a request ID it cannot process, and is mainly due to a protocol version mismatch between the client and server or an incorrect request format.

ERROR CODE: -199, ‘Server no longer responding.’

  • This message is displayed when the CUBRID database server does not respond to the client’s request, or when the server process unexpectedly terminates, it indicates a state where the server can no longer communicate with the client, and can occur due to DB connection problems, disconnections, or server process interruption, and so on.

ERROR CODE: -204, ‘Function called with missing or invalid arguments.’

  • This message is displayed when, inside the CUBRID database, a function is called with required arguments missing or with invalid argument values, in general it is less likely to be a direct user SQL error and more likely to be an internal CUBRID engine issue or a case where a developer used the CUBRID API incorrectly.

ERROR CODE: -322, ‘MOP not found in the workspace.’

  • This message is an error that appears when, during the garbage collection process of the workspace in the CUBRID database, it attempts to clean up a MOP that is in the ‘dirty list’, it occurs during the state consistency verification process of MOPs in the workspace management system, generally, if a MOP is in the ‘dirty list’ it should not be a garbage collection target, and this error is reported when such an inconsistency occurs.

ERROR CODE: -326, ‘Changing class pointer for object in workspace.’

  • This message is an error that occurs due to class MOP during instance caching in the workspace in the CUBRID database, it occurs during the table assignment process of objects in the workspace management system, and it mainly occurs when attempting to reassign an object that already belongs to another table to a different table.

ERROR CODE: -327, ‘Cannot create MOP with NULL OID.’

  • This message is an error that appears when, in the CUBRID database, it attempts to free a memory object that was not allocated within the workspace (work area), it occurs during the pointer validity verification process in the memory management system, and it mainly occurs when the memory pointer is not within a valid area block.
